Administrative Staff


PA to the Principal

Katie is part of the management team, responsible for the smooth running of the Practice. She has interests in marine conservation, having studied Marine Biology at the University of Portsmouth. Following this she spent time working in Tanzania, before eventually settling in Kent and joining the BHVS team in 2013.  As well as keeping Jeremy in line, Katie is responsible for insurance claims, recruitment and personnel, marketing... and much more!

Katie is currently on maternity leave from her role at the practice, due to return in late 2018. 


Finance Administrator

Maureen is in charge of all things finance - invoicing, banking, payments, etc and keeps a tight rein on the team. Outside of work, Maureen has a very noisy budgie called Scruffy, who she adopted from BHVS after he was found injured in the wild and no owners could be found for him. For months now she has been trying to convince Scruffy to come out of his cage for a fly around at home, but despite getting very excited at the open door he has yet to venture out! We will keep you updated on his flight progress....

As you can see, when she is not carefully filing invoices, Maureen is very happy to meet and greet our more unusual patients!!


Practice Dog

Jess joined the family and the practice in October 2016. A part-time worker, Jess is learning all the necessary practice management skills - how to hide under desks, chew important paperwork and make friends with all the staff! She is a natural! As practice dog, Jess is solely responsible for maintaining morale on those challenging days via cuddles and licks. She also enjoys a nice chew and any unwanted sandwich crusts.
