BHVS stall at River Village Fayre raises £122 for Parish Council

We had a great time joining the local people of River Village for their annual country fayre on Sunday 9th July! The BHVS crew took a new game 'Lost Cat Lotto' for people to play which involved reuniting lost cats (the soft toy version!) with their owners... as long as they were micro-chipped of course! A great time was had and a variety of prizes won by many.

We also had a hook the duck for little people which in the scorching weather was also highly popular with the local dogs, some of whom (like little Freddy, pictured below) enjoyed not only a drink from the 'pond' but a swim too! Luckily despite being a little shaken, the ducks were unharmed and won sweets and lollies for lots of delighted children.

A great day out in our local area and to top it all, we raised a whopping £122 for the River Parish Council who do such an excellent job organising the event. Rumour has it the funds will be put towards a new piece of equipment for the children's play area.

Well done everyone! We'll see you all again next weekend when we are out and about at Whitfield Village Fayre and Rhodes Minnis Cat Sanctuary Open Day.
