We are pleased to announce that our annual Biology Applied 2018 course for A Level students is now open for applications!
The course runs every year for sixth-form students. Students are usually (but certainly not always) aiming for careers in Biosciences, Medicine or Veterinary Medicine; and must have a passion for the natural world and a desire to see their A-Level biology courses come alive.
Previous year's sessions have included: Bacteriology, Zoo Life; Conservation or welfare, Haematology, Evolutionary Biology, Osteology, Anatomy, Pharmacology, Exercise Physiology, Suturing, and Conservation Ethics. Details of the course are sent to local schools, but interested students can also apply directly to the Practice.
If you are studying A-Level biology and would like to be considered for this year's course, please complete an application form as soon as possible. Places are limited and successful applicants need to will demonstrate a good academic standard as well as enthusiasm. Sessions will revolve around handling real specimens and informal directed discovery.
Application forms and further information on the course can be found on the practice website within the 'Education' section. Click HERE to access this.
NB: Applications for the 2018 course MUST be received by Friday 26th January to be considered for a place. Successful applicants will be contacted the following week.
