Given the current situation regarding Covid-19, you may be anxious about keeping you and your loved ones healthy, including your pets. Some of our more vulnerable clients may even feel that taking their pet to the vet is an unnecessary risk, and with many people being advised of self-isolate, we are here for you and your pet offering full support and additional services during this difficult period.
In addition to our fully functioning surgeries and out-of-hours emergency cover, we are offering two new services to support our clients and their beloved pets at this time. For more info on these, or any of our regular services call our reception team on 01304 206989.
-If you consider yourself to be vulnerable and wish not to come into close contact with other people, we are offering a 'Caution Clinic' with isolation appointments at our Whitfield branch Tuesday and Thursday from 2-3pm. During this period, only one client may enter the surgery at any one time whilst we keep staffing to a minimum. This service is only available for vulnerable clients who are not showing any symptoms.
- For clients who are self-isolating, we are offering a collection and delivery service from your front door with minimal contact, enabling us to treat your pet whilst you have a telephone consultation with one of our qualified vets.
In addition to these two new temporary services, we would like to remind all clients about our ongoing Thursday delivery service for items such as food orders and repeat prescriptions. If you wish to book a delivery and are self-isolating, please let reception know so that we can leave your delivery in a designated safe place for you to collect.
We would like to assure all our clients that whilst maintaining our usual high standards of hygiene throughout all our practices, we are also taking extra precautions to help protect our clients and staff, especially those who may be at higher risk.
Vaccination Is Key!
We hope that in light of this recent pandemic, our clients can appreciate the importance of vaccinating. Although there currently is no vaccine available against Covid-19 for humans, it is important that clients keep their pets up-to-date with annual vaccines to prevent the spread of infectious diseases between our 4-legged friends.
If you find that your pets booster is overdue, we are currently holding a vaccination amnesty offering dog re-starts at only £30 and cats £35 for both their 1st and 2nd injections with a full health check. Please call reception to book an appointment.
